MICLab

Our group received the MICCAI Society Award for the Advancement of Health Equity (South America Awardee), an initiative created to support affordable, inclusive, and high-quality care worldwide [1]. We will be working on the development of an universal multispectral imaging (MSI) platform for clinical dermatology in Brazil, by integrating low-cost locally manufactured hardware with artificial intelligence-driven analytical software, and performing inclusive pre-clinical and clinical validation. In this first year, our primary focus will be on the low-cost imaging hardware [2].

The project will be led by Prof. Leticia Rittner, and supported by Prof. Simone Appenzeller (School of Medical Sciences, UNICAMP), Dr. Bruna Alice Gomes de Melo (Center for Biomedical Engineering, UNICAMP), and MICLab students Ana Clara Caznok Silveira and Nathan Shen Baldon.
