About usLearn more about MICLab
What does MICLAb mean?
MICLab stands for Medical Image and Computing Laboratory. We´re based at the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP´s Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences Institute. The lab was created under the leadership of Roberto Lotufo and Letícia Rittner to be a focal point for the majority of the students under their supervision that work with Medical Imaging.
We´re studying the brain!
Our goal is to develop methods and algorithms to analyze medical images and data, such as Structural MRI, Diffusion-MRI and MR Spectroscopy. We participate in the Brazilian Institute of Neuroscience and Neurotechnology - BRAINN, a research project sponsored by FAPESP.
Collaborative environment
We are interested in the development of quantitative methods applied to the structures of the brain, together with their automatic or assisted identification and segmentation. Methods are developed under an open source philosophy, in collaborative web-based environment, aiming towards an interdisciplinary and translational research .
